After five years of marriage, like many families, the Howards found themselves with a big mortgage, two car payments, student loans, credit cards, and personal loans.

From the outside they looked like they were doing things right, while in reality, they were stressed and feeling hopeless. They took Financial Peace University at the Y where they learned to make changes that would help their situation. As a result, they have made some difficult decisions, including selling their home and cars, exchanging them for more affordable options. They have also paid off $12,000 worth of debt within just three months.

"We are finally telling our money what to do instead of letting it run us. It feels good to gain control," say the Howards. Congratulations!
