Scholarships at the YMCA help remove the financial barriers to accessing Y facilities, programs, and services. The scholarship provides individuals and families the opportunity to participate in the life-changing programs and services offered by the YMCA regardless of age, background, ethnicity, ability, or income. Scholarships are made possible by the generosity of local donors and foundations.
We’ll consider your income, household size, and special circumstances, and then determine a scholarship amount up to 50% to align with your unique situation. Our goal is to help everyone who qualifies for scholarships.
The fastest way to receive a scholarship determination is to bring all income and benefit documentation for your household to the Center nearest you.
For best success please bring in printed or digital income and benefit documentation for everyone in the household who shares in household expenses. Income verification can be two months' worth of paystubs, three months of profit-loss from self-employment, or a completed and filed tax return from last year. Benefit documentation can include but is not limited to award letters for; SNAP, TANF, SSI, Disability, Military Retirement and/or Disability, Child Support, and Unemployment.
