We lay the groundwork for learning through interaction and exploration. Our classroom experiences help establish body awareness and control, coordination, and communication skills in an empowering environment.

 

 

 

 

Areas of Focus

 

  • Communication and Language: Building ability to utilize receptive and expressive language, awareness of phonetic sounds, and literacy.
  • Social Emotional Learning: focusing on foundational components: self-awareness and management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making.
  • Cognitive Development: Exploring problem solving skills, imagery and memory development.
  • Health and Physical Development: Practicing healthy habits, learning nutrition, and developing gross and fine motor skills.

Arrival, Drop-Off and Sign In
6:30-10:00am

As you drop off and sign in, your child can jump into the day socializing with friends and staff.

 

Breakfast
7:30-8:00am

Prepare mind and body for another day of learning by eating a good breakfast.

 

Morning Circle
9:30-10:00am

Share experiences from time away, greet classmates, and discuss the day's learning theme.

 

Active Learning/small group
10:00am-10:30am

Each activity encourages and motivates children to attempt new things, which improves their adaptability, stability, and coordination.

 

Social and Emotional
10:30am-11:00am

Learn how to incorporate social and cooperative play. These activities foster awareness of emotions and teach how to relate to themselves and others.

 

Lunch
11:00am-11:30am

Children are served a healthy lunch and engage in conversation at the table with one another while eating nutritious foods and learning table etiquette.

 

Enrichment Activities
11:30am-12:00pm

Kids participate in art, mathematics, literacy and sensory, and small group activities that foster their growing minds.

 

Rest Time
12:00pm-1:00pm

Kids rest their minds and relax their bodies after a full morning of learning.

 

Large Motor/Outdoor Exploration
1:00pm-2:00pm

Kids are able to refine their gross motor functioning through activities that encourage balance, coordination, and bodily control.

 

Snack Time/Free Play
2:00pm-4:00pm

Children can select from enjoying a healthy snack or play before departing for the day.

 

Departure
4:00pm-5:30pm

Transition form the childcare classroom environment to pick up with family and the journey home.
