Jamie has faced the challenges of cerebral palsy, tourettes, and fetal alcohol syndrome her entire life, making it difficult for her to make friends and have a social life.
With support from her brother, Jamie got the courage to join the Y. The Y was able to provide financial assistance so she could afford membership, which has given Jamie the opportunity to connect with others and find a place to belong. Now Jamie is a regular at the Y, and feels healthier than ever.
"The exercise is great for my heart, and the hot tub is good for my muscles and joints," said Jamie. "But the greatest part about the Y is the friends I have made. The Y has helped me get my social rhythm. I love coming to the Y!"
