Eleven-year-old Harrison is a seasoned Day Camp veteran. A long time Y member, he made his inaugural camp experience four summers ago and has been a rockstar camper ever since.
The aspiring animal biologist or child psychologist appreciates a very specific component of camp- the commitment to fostering the Y values of Caring, Respect, Service, and Responsibility, all of which will inevitably prove quite important in his future career.
Camp may not give Harrison experience with animals or psychology, but it does give him experience with people, and his counselors appreciate his enthusiastic and warm reception of his fellow campers.
"I like to help my friends at camp by being kind to them and helping them feel comfortable at camp," said Harrison. When at home, Harrison continues applying his core values and practices with his dog. He notes that he's hopeful for the addition of a second dog soon.
