YMCA Child Care

In the spring, Kimberly and her husband took in their 12-year-old nephew Domanick, who had been struggling with anger and aggressive behavior. It wasn’t easy bringing him in to a family with two kids already, and even harder for Domanick to adjust to a different family.

When he started day camp at the beginning of summer, he was disrespectful to his peers and counselors. But through positive role models, and encouraging staff, Domanick developed into the sweet, helpful, and respectful kid his family knew he was capable of.

“It’s because of people like you that make me know that Domanick and many other children will have a positive and fun experience at camp that they will talk about for years to come,” said Kimberly.
