A huge thank you to our YMCA donors, advisory council members, and community partners who came out to our 2016 Celebration of Philanthropy in support of the Y's work in our local neighborhoods. Because of you, we are able to support local foster children, at-risk youth, seniors, and those who would otherwise not be able to visit the Y. You make more possible!

As we begin to prepare for our facility and locker room renovations, the cafe and vending machine services will be closing Thursday, May 26 and reopening Monday, September 5 following the remodel. Additional seating areas are located on the second floor outside the Group Exercise Room. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this time.

Help us provide an additional 65 full scholarships to give local kids their first camp experience at YMCA Camp Seymour this summer!

Thanks to funding from the YMCA of the USA’s Strategic Initiatives Fund and the Woodworth Family Foundation, all new and increased gifts to the Send a Kid to Camp Campaign will be doubled by a matching gift, up to a total of $20,000! Give today to send a kid to camp! http://bit.ly/1WkpruM

25% of Washington children live in households that struggle to put enough food on the table. The Tacoma Center YMCA has teamed up with St. Leo Food Connection to provide non-perishable food items and baby formula for families in need in Pierce County. Drop Off boxes will be located in the front lobby area May 15-27.

TACOMA CENTER YMCA MEMBERSHIP AND GUEST Policies

100% ID CHECK ALWAYS IN EFFECT

In order to better protect our members, guests, and staff, all visitors *14 years of age and older are required to show a valid, government-issued ID.

This policy helps us account for all people in the facility, making the YMCA a safer place for all in attendance. Community members who intend to visit the facility on a regular basis can elect to have their picture taken and stored in our database in lieu of showing picture ID during subsequent visits, but all first-time guests MUST present ID to enter the facility.

GUEST POLICY AND WAIVER

Community members and guests wishing to visit the facility are required to sign our guest waiver before entering the facility. Additionally, all minors entering the facility must have their guest waivers signed by a parent or guardian.

Tacoma Center Y offers programs and services for adults ages 15 and older Monday through Friday.

Youth 8 years of age and older are allowed in the facility on Saturdays and Sundays for a maximum of two hours without parent or guardian supervision. Youth should not loiter in exercise areas, tracks, hallways, locker rooms, or meeting areas.

If an unsupervised youth member is engaging in inappropriate behavior or is acting disrespectful towards staff or members, the parent and/or guardian will be notified, and asked to remove the youth from the Y premises for the day.

For additional membership identification or policy questions, contact Telly Lau at 253-460-8874.
