1. Use one device: We encourage you to use one device when registering for programming. We recommend using a desktop or tablet over a mobile phone when registering for programs. We also encourage you to update your browser.
     
  2. Check Your Account Status: Any outstanding balance posted to your account will prevent you from registering for a program.  If you see a balance listed, please proceed with payment either online or in the center. Additionally, please check to ensure that the individuals you would like to register are active.
     
  3. Ensure Your MyCommunity Access: Log in to your MyCommunity account in advance to ensure your account is accessible when registration opens. If you are unable to log in or aren't sure which family members in your household are active, please visit your local welcome center, or email us at membership@ymcapkc.org prior to your registration time.   4. Registration is first come, first served: Please have backup programs ready. You may need to place your children in different time slots if not enough space is available to take a program together. You can view all programs ahead of time.
     
  5. Registering for programs: Log in to your MyCommunity account and click on browse registrations to participate in the registration process.
     
  6. Register for multiple classes at one time from the app or mobile phone: Registering from your YMCAPKC App and mobile browser are very similar. From your YMCAPKC App, click on “My Account”. This button will take you to the YMCAPKC website where you can browse classes and login to your MyCommunity. Once you have found the class(es), click “enroll” on all the ones you’d like to register for. The mobile app is convenient, but we recommend using a desktop or laptop to complete registration.
     
  7. Registering multiple youth for the same monitor registrations: If the youth are all going to be in the same class and time, proceed with browsing registrations through your MyCommunity. Once you find the class you’d like, select the youth and then click “save”. 
     
  8. What to do if you are asked to join the waitlist: If you attempt to register for a program when you see an 'X' spot listed or attempt to check out and receive a message regarding a waitlist option, please complete the waitlist process. This means there are members in front of you who are eligible for the open spot(s) for the program. Waitlists help guide our program offerings for this session and the next session. Additionally, program directors monitor program registrations and will move a participant into the program if there is an opening. If your child is moved from the waitlist to the program, you will receive an email from the director with this information.
     
  9. Program Confirmations: If you do not immediately receive an email confirming your program registration, you can confirm your enrollment by visiting your MyCommunity Page. Once on the Account Details Page, expand the ‘Active Enrollments’ tab to view programs. (Note: Your program will indicate a ‘Pending Active’ status. Once the session begins, the status will shift to ‘Active’).
