Power Scholars

Power Scholars is an elementary-age summer program that involves interactive and highly engaging academic instruction in the areas of literacy and mathematics. Students increase academic success and self-confidence in this six-week program at the Y.

Thanks to a generous donation and partnership with Puyallup South Hill Rotary, this program is offered at no cost to families in the Puyallup community.

"My son, Gabriel, has been attending the Y’s Power Scholar program in Puyallup and it has been a godsend and the people who are running the program are amazing, helpful, and kind.

After the school closed in March 2020, it had been myself teaching him and I did not go to school to be any type of teacher and I felt he was missing out on that knowledge and guidance.

At this program, I’ve felt that he is safe and he is getting the education from an instructor that he needs, also interaction with other children that he most definitely is in need of.

This program has been so helpful in the educational development of my child. Gabriel and I thank you for offering this program and hope you will continue to do so in the future."
