In 2025, the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties strengthened communities, expanded access, and changed lives thanks to the generosity of our donors. Our donors made it possible for thousands of individuals and families to experience greater safety, belonging, and well-being.
When donors give to the Y, they help build opportunity, foster mentorship, and provide stability for neighbors of all ages. Their generosity ensures the Y remains a welcoming place where children can learn and grow, teens can find guidance, families can connect, and older adults can stay healthy and engaged.
Creating Safe Places for Children to Grow
Last year, 8,994 children gained critical lifesaving skills and confidence around water through water safety and swim lessons thanks to the generosity of our donors. Support also opened the door for approximately 1,200 youth to experience summer camp, and 1,435 children in foster care to be welcomed into Y centers, providing stability and belonging in times of transition.
Supporting Teens, Families, and Seniors
Donor impact reached every stage of life. Each month, donor generosity helped more than 15,000 families access our Y. Support from the Y community helped create safe spaces and meaningful mentorship for more than 4,100 teens, encouraging leadership and confidence. Donors also helped 8,759 seniors gain access to supporting programs that promote physical health, social connection, and independence.
Turning Generosity into Lasting Impact
These numbers all represent real people and real moments. They reflect a child learning to swim for the first time, a teen finding encouragement, or a senior finding connection and community. Every act of generosity led to a Iife touched by care, commitment, and community investment.
