Across Pierce and Kitsap counties, the YMCA is working every day to create opportunities for people to thrive.
The YMCA addresses community needs by:
- Creating spaces for people struggling with loneliness and isolation to find connection and friendship
- Investing in safe spaces for teens to gather and be surrounded by mentors
- Giving children opportunities for real-world play, movement, and connection
- Surrounding kids with caring adults, coaches, and mentors who provide encouragement and consistency
- Providing evidence-based programs that support people living with chronic disease
- Offering affordable early learning and childcare opportunities
- Engaging active older adults through social connection and fitness programs
Our Reach Across Pierce and Kitsap Counties
In 2025, the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties served more than 130,000 people through nine community centers, 21 childcare locations, three early learning centers, and two outdoor camps.

Community Partners Making a Difference
The YMCA partners with organizations including Clover Park School District, Tacoma Public Schools, Parks Tacoma, Pierce County Juvenile Court, Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound, and Greentrike to support youth mentorship, enriching activities, and safe spaces for young people.
