Theatre classes at the Y provide a safe and fun environment to develop performance techniques and engage in a holistic view of the many facets involved in this creative art form.

Theatre at the Y isn’t just about learning lines, it’s about discovering your voice, stepping into new roles, and building connections. For young aspiring actors of all experience levels, our classes invite you to grow as a performer and as a person, all in a supportive and welcoming environment.

- Everyone is an artist.
- Demonstrate caring by using only kind words.
- Be respectful of others by keeping your hands to yourself.
- Take responsibility for arriving to class on time, for listening first, and staying engaged throughout the class.
- Be brave, be honest, keep practicing, try your best, and stick with it.
- Have fun!
- Comfortable clothing, preferably pants.
- Closed-toe shoes (no heels, crocs, or sandals)
