Students at Summer Late Nite

Summer should be a time for young people to connect with friends, discover new interests, and create lasting memories. For many families, it can also be a time when access to structured activities and supportive environments becomes limited.

That's why the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is proud to continue investing in Tacoma's youth through Summer Late Nights.

This summer, YMCA staff will facilitate Summer Late Nights at Baker Middle School, Giaudrone Middle School, Hunt Middle School, Truman Middle School, and Stewart Middle School, creating safe and welcoming spaces for teens across Tacoma Monday-Friday, 5-10 p.m.

We know that positive relationships and meaningful opportunities can have a lasting impact. Whether it's a conversation with a mentor, a pickup basketball game, or simply having a place to gather with peers, these experiences help build confidence, strengthen connections, and foster a sense of belonging.

The YMCA is grateful to partner with local organizations like Tacoma Public Schools, Boys and Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound, Tacoma Parks, Greentrike, and more who share our belief that every young person deserves access to safe, positive opportunities. Together, we are working to ensure Tacoma's youth have places to thrive not just during the school year, but throughout the summer as well.

Our commitment to Tacoma's young people remains as strong as ever. We look forward to welcoming teens this summer and continuing to create spaces where they can grow, connect, and succeed.
