In January 2026, Phase 1 of the new Pearl Street Family YMCA opened to the community. This $35 million project included a state-of-the-art aquatics center, strength training room, and climbing wall, which led to clear excitement and engagement from members.
We're not done building yet. We're fundraising another $30 million for Phase 2 of the Pearl Street project which will bring even more brand new amenities to Tacoma. Together, the new Pearl Street center will serve the community for generations to come.
