The turf at the Gig Harbor Sports Fields has been rolled out and is being installed, and construction of the new parking lot with 100 dedicated parking stalls is underway.
These two lit turf fields help meet a critical need for sports fields and outdoor spaces in Gig Harbor and will support youth sports like football, soccer, lacrosse, little league baseball, ultimate frisbee, and modified rugby.
The fields are part of the first phase of a larger Gig Harbor Sports Complex project that is being led by the city of Gig Harbor. The fields will be managed and operated by the YMCA.
