For nine-year-old Victor, the world is a distraction of sight and sound making the task of everyday focus sometimes next to impossible. Despite these distractions, Victor found a place to thrive in Swim for Exceptional Children.
For Victor, the pool is a safe haven where he is able to overcome so many of the obstacles that Autism and Attention Deficit Disorder present in his life. Spending time with physical and occupational therapists in the water provides Victor the tools to help him focus on the skills at hand.
“Every part of this program has played a role in getting Victor to where he is today,” said Victor’s mother, Norma.
While the world may be full of distractions for her son, for several hours per week, Victor is able to let everything else melt away and focus on doing what he loves.
