Tacoma Center YMCA
Tani began her career with the YMCA in 1992. The moment she set foot in her first morning aerobics class, she fell in love and knew this was the place to be. There was something different about the Y, something the other gyms she had worked for were missing. "There was a feeling of community and family," she says.
The Y changes lives and impacts members and staff alike. For the past 23 years, the Y has been a second home for Tani, a place for her to fully embrace the value of inclusion she so perfectly embodies. At the Y, it doesn't matter if you are rich or poor, or what color your skin is or how many degrees you've earned because what's valued is the extension of love and hope to everyone who enters the doors. No one in our history has modeled this better than Tani.
Tani, we love you. We thank you, and we will miss you more than we can say. God bless you in your new adventures!
