After working three seasons as an Event Coordinator for Spotlight Dance Cup, Sarah was sensing she needed something else in her life. She relocated to Tacoma where she immediately got plugged into the Y. She worked two years as an Arts Director at the Lakewood Family Y and fell in love with teaching students to appreciate music and dance.
In order to give back, she has since transitioned into a volunteer dance instructor role at the University Y Student Center to share her passion for providing artistic opportunities to others. "Dance created a positive outlet for me," explains Sarah. "I want to be able to share that with other people who maybe are struggling to find their niche!"
As a highly driven, motivated individual Sarah's active involvement in the Y Arts programs continuously encourages her program participants in their movement development and personal growth.
