After five years of being out of a gym, Melissa was nervous to get back to a healthy routine, and was looking for more than a gym.
"I joined the Y because I heard that it brings people and families together," said Melissa.
After her first group exercise class, Melissa was hooked. The encouragement and motivation from staff and members kept her coming back. Not only did she lose 27 pounds, but she made friends, and found a home away from home at the Y.
Now part of a community, she encourages others on their path to healthy living, just like she experienced.
