BUILD MORE FAMILY TIME

After moving to Gig Harbor from Yelm, Megan wanted her active twin girls, Jillian and Mia, to learn how to swim. What started as a need to learn water skills developed into consistent time to connect between three generations.

“When the twins started swim lessons at 14 months old, we needed two adults,” said Megan. “So my dad started coming with us.”

Now Jillian and Mia are five years old, and are advanced swimmers for their age. They also love spending time in youth sports, tumbling, rock climbing—anything that keeps their active bodies moving.

“They have so many activities here,” said Megan. “Coming to the Y has given us purpose and opportunities to get out of the house, keeping us all active and healthy.”
