Every Saturday night, youth in grades six through eight have free rein of the Y facility to connect with friends, work out, and develop leadership skills through 678 Nite.

For Kristopher, he enjoyed 678 Nite, but wanted to further develop his leadership skills, so he and friends started the 678 Nite Advisory Council.

“It helped me to see the responsibility of being an adult and what it takes to serve a community,” said Kristopher. Since joining the advisory council, Kristopher has planned events and collaborated with other vested teens on how to create a positive atmosphere for them to learn and grow.

“I love to help people,” said Kristopher. “And I feel the Y is a place that gives me the opportunity to do that.”
