ENERGIZE YOUR PREGNANCY

My son Titus and I have been coming to the Y for just over a year. My husband is in the Army and we live on base, so it’s convenient for us. We really like it. We started going to swim lessons and the toddler-friendly classes when he was 10 months old. He really doesn’t like going to Child Watch, so it’s great that he can come with me and run around. I haven’t seen that at any other local gym – that was a big draw for us and it’s definitely kept us here.

When I found out I was pregnant again, I was encouraged to keep going because I’d seen another mom keep attending through her pregnancy. The other parents were really supportive. It was a safe and easy transition to keep going and the instructor is really good at providing modifications – I obviously can’t lay on my stomach and do some of the exercises, but I like the variety and the intensity.

It’s necessary to keep up your fitness when you have to keep up with a toddler. He weighs 30 pounds and I still need to be able to pick him up if he falls. It’s great that I can get him out of the house and stay healthy.
