Eddie came to the Y seeking the motivation to lose some unwanted pounds and improve his health. He quickly found the recipe to his success when he was introduced to spin classes, boot camp, weight lifting, and other Y activities, which helped him accomplish his goal. But it's not the classes he credits with his success- it's the people in them.

"Everybody from the instructors, fellow Y members, and Y staff were so encouraging and motivating, it was easy to participate," said Eddie. "It was actually even fun."

Now 60 pounds lighter, Eddie has found his niche in the Y community. Because of his positive experience, he decided to volunteer to teach spin classes. Eddie hopes that maybe someday he can be that inspiration and motivation for someone else and help them along their journey. Eddie would like thank the incredible people who surrounded him with support on his journey and gave him a safe place to take risks and try new things. It's changed his entire life for the better.
