"Coming to camp has changed my life," said Darwin. After having a difficult upbringing, "Darwin really just needed a place to fit in," said Camp Seymour Executive Director Scott Jackson.
Three years after being given a scholarship to attend camp, Darwin worked and saved $100 to help another teen attend camp. "It's amazing to see that a kid cares enough to want to give another child the same opportunities he's had. It kind of makes it all worthwhile," said Scott.
YMCA Camp Seymour provided a safe place for youth to be themselves, experience a nurturing environment, and create lasting friendships this year. The new Dally Family Dining Hall opened this summer thanks to our generous donors who contributed $3 million, offering a larger gathering space for meals and camper fellowship.
