For many families, the effects of financial hardship make it difficult for parents and their children to find balance and health. That’s why the Y partnered with the Sumner School District Family Center to provide three-month memberships to families that are homeless or in difficult situations.
“We can’t afford to do anything,” shared a parent. “We are on a very limited budget and the YMCA has brought fun back into our lives.”
This opportunity provides a place for families to spend quality time together, reaching their health and well-being goals, and having fun.
The Y has brought hope to the community,” said Sumner/Bonney Lake Family Center Coordinator Joannie Hill.
