Carsen joined the Gallion family when he was just two years old. Carson came to the family from an orphanage in Southeast China where he had limited opportunities and encouragement to develop his motor skills.
“When he first arrived home, he struggled to walk more than ten feet without losing his balance,” said Erin Gallion.
Fast forward six months and Carsen is running, climbing, and doing somersaults. Carsen gained strength and confidence in Toddler Gym at the Y. Carsen also learned to follow along with songs and circle time, which has supported his language skills.
“It is helpful and encouraging to be reminded each week of how much Carsen has learned and how far he has come,” said Erin. “We are very thankful to the Y and its instructors for providing our family with such an excellent program.”
