Bruce J.

Lakewood Family YMCA

Bruce Johnson, 93-year-old WWII Veteran of the Pacific Theater, says he's in better shape now than he was 20 years ago and feels that joining the Y has been responsible for his good health. He started coming with his girlfriend Peggy, who was encouraged by her doctor to get active.
Bruce likes meeting lots of people and thinks the trainers and staff are just great. It's been three years now and he still enjoys working out and lifting weights three days a week at the Lakewood Y. "I think I out-do most of the 70-year-olds and will live well past 100 years of age", says Bruce.  With a positive attitude like that, we think he might just be right!
