School Age Swim Lessons | 6-12

Progressive Swim Lessons for school-age children build on basic swim skills to help students develop a high level of comfort in the water with a focus on water safety.

1 - Water Acclimation Ages 6-12 | Registration Required



Increases comfort with underwater exploration and introduces basic self-rescue skills performed with assistance.

2 - Water Movement Ages 6-12 | Registration Required



Encourages forward movement in water and basic self-rescue skills performed independently. For swimmers safety they should be comfortable with submerging independently when enrolling in this level.

3 - Water Stamina Ages 6-12 | Registration Required



Develops intermediate self-rescue skills performed at longer distances than in previous stages. For swimmers' safety they should be able to swim ten feet on their front and back when enrolling in this level.

4 - Stroke Introduction Ages 6-12 | Registration Required



Introduces basic stroke technique in front crawl and back crawl and reinforces water safety through treading water and elementary backstroke. For swimmers safety they should be able to swim fifteen yards independently on their front and back when enrolling in this level.

5 - Stroke Development Ages 6-12 | Registration Required



Introduces breaststroke and butterfly and reinforces water safety through treading water and sidestroke. For swimmers' safety, they should be able to perform the front crawl with side breathing and backstroke twenty-five yards.

6 - Stroke Mechanics Ages 6-12 | Registration Required



Refines stroke technique on all major competitive strokes and encourages swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle. For swimmers' safety, they should be able to perform the front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke for 25 yards.

School Age Swim | Scissor Kick Ages 6-12 | Drop-in Class



The scissor kick is a fundamental skill for sidestroke and treading water. Learn how to practice an effective scissor kick and maximize your energy while in the water.
