YMCA Early Learning Center is a licensed Child Care Program. Our program is more than a place for your child to go while you’re at work. It’s a place where children learn to grow into individuals in a safe and inspiring environment. Your child will create lifelong social and emotional skills along with basic fundamental academic skills.
We proudly participate in Early Achievers, ran by the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families. By participating in Early Achievers, early learning professionals show a commitment to improving quality so you can feel confident about your child care choice. Families deserve to know their children are receiving care that promotes their unique skills and cultures, and supports the development of the whole child.
Early Learning Center uses an Early Achievers approved curriculum: The Creative Curriculum. This is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that promotes exploration and discovery as a way of learning, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical-thinking skills. Early Learning also instills sports fundamentals in the daily schedule, which promotes and builds your child’s gross motor skills.
The Y employs Early Learning professionals. Delivering a quality program focused on safety, health, social growth, and creativity so children can grow and thrive in our care. Each Early Learning teacher takes extensive and continuous training in child development that is required by the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
