The Main Pool is currently closed. It will open at 5:00PM today. Aquatics Directors will direct participants to either the Instructional Pool or the Sports Field for Aquatic Games.

All swim lessons, including Parent-Child will be held in the Main Pool this morning, providing all swimmers with an introduction to our primary swim lesson space. The Instructional Pool will re-open at 11am this morning!

Our Safety and Risk Manager gets candid about cameras:

For safety purposes, cell phones and cameras are strictly prohibited in our locker rooms and restrooms. Please leave them (and personal conversations) in your purse or bag while using these spaces.

While we enthusiastically applaud your efforts in the weight room and are fully supportive of your need for photo documentation of your exercise success, we kindly request that you resist the urge to take locker room selfies, which may cause people to question your intentions and create an awkward situation for everyone involved.

Thank you for your understanding and for alerting staff if and when you notice violations of this policy.

Pool Closures - We have an unexpected closure of both the Main and Instructional pools. The Main Pool will be closed for the remainder of the evening. The Instructional Pool will reopen at 7:30pm. We thank you for your patients and understanding.

A tip for parents from our Safety and Risk Manager during National Preparedness Month:
Equip your kids with knowledge and confidence. Create kits that include things you might need during an emergency (food, water, contact information, clothes, flashlight, etc.) and place them strategically in your home, vehicle, backpacks, and other frequently accessed locations. Talk with your family about their purpose and role play situations that could require their use.

MORGAN Family Y Policies

The Morgan YMCA makes every effort possible to keep the Y and its programs running during periods of inclement weather. Operating decisions are based on weather alerts, road and school closings and the ability of the YMCA staff & members to get to and from the Y and operate the facility safely.

For All Classes (Youth & Adult) Cancellation Policy:
If the Tacoma School District has a delayed start due to inclement weather, we will cancel all morning classes. If Tacoma school district cancels school due to inclement weather, all classes will be cancelled for the day. If Tacoma school district cancels all afternoon and evening activities, all evening classes will be cancelled. A decision will be made at opening for Saturday and Sunday classes.

FitPath is an appointment designed specifically for members ages 10 and older who want to have a tailored, progressive fitness plan. Our Health and Well-being staff will meet with you to discuss your goals to create a program that's right for you.
