Diabetes 101 Workshops Ages 18+ | Registration Required



Are you or a loved one living with diabetes? In partnership with MultiCare, the YMCA is excited to offer a free introductory workshop for individuals seeking more information about diabetes. You're invited to join this free class to learn how to optimally manage your diabetes. Curriculum includes basic diabetes information and terminology, tips for eating healthy and staying active, and reviews the fundamentals of diabetes medications.

Enhance®Fitness is an evidence-based group exercise program for older adults that uses simple, easy-to-learn movements. Move at your own pace and we will meet you where you are to help you improve your strength, flexibility, and balance. Ideal for active older adults, individuals with chronic disease, and anyone who needs an adapted workout.

Preventing Type 2 Diabetes | YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program Ages 18+ | Other


The program provides a supportive environment where participants work together in a small group to learn about healthier eating and increasing their physical activity in order to reduce their risk for developing diabetes. The program, which is led by a trained lifestyle coach in a classroom setting, is delivered over a 12-month period, beginning with 16 weekly sessions followed by monthly maintenance. The YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-led National Diabetes Prevention Program and is nationally supported by the Diabetes Prevention and Control Alliance.
