CREATIVE WORKSHOPS

Our creative workshops give everyone the chance to express themselves through art! Whether it's a few hours with the kids, friends, or even date night, we hope that there's a workshop that fits just what you're looking for!

OCTOBER

What do you see for yourself? Are there goals you'd like to reach or things you'd like to accomplish? Vision boards are words and images that represent what you want to achieve in the coming months. Define your dreams and create a vision board to remind you to be intentional in working towards your goals in this creative workshop. Space and supplies will be provided.

Join us for a DIY Holiday Card Making event. Learn a new skill and create a craft to give to your friends, family, or keep for yourself!

HIKING GROUP | JUNE 6-SEPTEMBER 26

Join a small group of your fellow Y members to explore scenic trails throughout the Puget Sound area. No previous hiking experience is necessary, but some routes are harder than others, so novice hikers are advised to connect with our staff to determine which routes are best for them. Meet at 6:45am at the Y and carpool to the trailhead each week. Please pack water and a sack lunch.

LFY fall hike 2015

WALKING GROUP | MAY 14-SEPTEMBER 20

Join a small group of your fellow Y members each week as we enjoy nature, exercise, and each other’s company. Lake trails are a mile long, so you can walk anywhere from one to three miles. All you need is a pair of sneakers and a water bottle! Bring your strollers, children, friends, or just bring yourself! The walking group will run from May 14-September 20 and will be led by a YMCA staff member. Directions will be provided at the Welcome Center.
 

May 14-September 20 | 10-11am

  • Mondays | Ft. Steilacoom Park 
  • Thursdays | Wapato Park

Walks will begin 5 minutes past 10am at the trailhead of Lake Waughop at Ft. Steilacoom Park and near the playground at Wapato Lake. We can't wait for you to join us!
