Teen Swim Lessons | 12-18

The Y offers swim lessons to teens of any skill level. Whether you’re an absolute beginner getting into the pool for the first time or an athlete looking to improve your technique, the Y’s swim instructors will help you master skills for recreation, exercise, or competition.

Teen | 1-3 | Swim Basics Ages 12-18 | Registration Required

Learn personal water safety and achieve basic swimming competency by learning to swim, float swim and jump, push, turn, and grab.


Teen | 4-5 | Stroke Intro and Development Ages 12-18 | Registration Required

Introduces basic stroke technique of front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, and butterfly while teaching continued water safety. For swimmers safety they should be able to swim 15 yards independently on their front and back.


Teen | 6 | Stroke Mechanics Ages 12-18 | Registration Required

Refines stroke technique on all major competitive strokes and encourages swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle. For swimmers safety they should be able to swim front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke for 25 yards.
