A-B-Cs of A-R-T Registration Required



Preschoolers will learn about art concepts and art history as they make their way through the alphabet. Each week a new letter will be introduced and will be the focus of the art projects produced.

Ceramics Registration Required



Students will learn the basics of creating in three-dimensions with clay. Participants will explore techniques including pinch pot, coil and slab building, the use of modeling tools, surface texture, and glazing.

Drawing Registration Required



Drawing 1 students learn basic drawing techniques using pencil, pastels and other media. Learn and improve skills through fun drawing projects and games. Drawing 2 classes are meant for those students who have already honed their interests and have some prior drawing experience. Drawing 2 students will advance their drawing techniques and concepts of color and composition as they tackle more challenging projects. We recommend taking Drawing 1 prior to taking Drawing 2.

Drop-In Art Drop-in Class



We offer a variety of free arts drop-in classes for you to explore your creativity and learn more about our program offerings. This is a great time to try out new classes and get to know our talented arts instructors. Drop-in activities are quick hits that take between 10-20 minutes to create. Members 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Projects are optimized for ages 5+, but our instructors will work to create adaptations to reach all ages.

Family Drawing and Painting Registration Required



Come together as a family and learn new ways to enhance your creativity and imagination as the principles of art are introduced.  All participating family members must enroll individually.

Homeschool Art Registration Required



Explore the integral relationships between art and science, math, geography, or history. These classes use creativity as a tool to explore other school subjects, often incorporating experiments and games, in addition to art projects in this educational class.

Intro to Sculpture Registration Required



Students will learn new ways to create in three dimensions, while learning about famous sculptors and public art across the country.

Mixed Media Art Registration Required



Classes include Hand Sewing, Sewing Basics, Fashion Design, Jewelry Making, and Set Design among others. Hand Sewing teaches students a variety of stitches and techniques. We recommend taking this course prior to taking Sewing Basics. Sewing Basics students will learn simple machine operation, introductory sewing techniques, and necessary tools and terminology. Fasion Design allows young designers learn about various categories of fashion through a range of drawing, sewing, and mixed media projects. Jewelry Making is a fun and creative class that teaches students to make wearable art. Set Design students will learn the basics of designing and fabricating props, scenic designs, and stage elements for our theater and dance programs to use in performances.

Open Studio Ages 16+ | Registration Required



Open Studio is time to focus on your own art projects with the guided expertise of an instructor. Projects must be two-dimensional works. This course is structured to include short exercises with the majority of class time dedicated to your own creative process. Each class will conclude with a short group feedback session where participation is encouraged but not required. This class is open only to those students who have taken a previous painting or drawing class at the Y, or have prior painting/drawing experience outside of the Y.

Painting Registration Required



Painting 1 classes are introductory classes that explore several paint mediums, ranging from watercolor to acrylic, over the course of one session. Painting 2 classes are for those students who have honed their interests and have some prior painting experience. Painting 2 classes take a deeper into a specific medium, subject matter, or technique. We recommend taking Painting 1 prior to taking Painting 2.

Parent/Child Painting Drop-in Class



Parent/Child Painting teaches kids and their parents to use their imagination, explore self-expression, and learn group interaction. We recommend taking this class as a first step into exploring your child's creativity.
