The YMCA's Water Fitness program encourages people of all ages to use the buoyant qualities of water to enhance their physical fitness through exercise. It’s an ideal form of exercise for all ages and increases physical strength and endurance without putting stress and strain on joints, as in land-based exercise. Swimmers and non-swimmers alike can take part in this type of exercise to reduce emotional stress and tension, improve health, and encourage and improve feelings of well-being and self-esteem.

Aqua Dance

Cardio fitness and strength conditioning set to lively music from a variety of dance genres while utilizing the pool and deck.

Deep Water Aerobics

With a focus on core muscles and cardiovascular conditioning, you’ll work your whole body in this water class. Flotation belts are available and basic swim skills are recommended.

Shallow Water Aerobics

Improve efficiency of the heart and lungs while increasing muscle strength, endurance, and flexibility.

Water Walking

A great place to begin your exercise routine. Water walking utilizes movements that increase flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance.
