Haselwood Family YMCA Annual Campaign
Staff, Members, and Friends of the Haselwood YMCA,
About 18 months ago I was given an education by Jennifer Bekeny, Health and Well
Being Director, regarding the Annual Campaign and the programs associated and
funded with the donations. Wow! Since then I have been an active solicitor for campaign funds and I enjoy telling the many heart warming stories of kids, youth, and adults that are the beneficiaries of everyone’s gracious donations.
Did you know that more than 11% of Haselwood Y members receive some form of financial support? The Haselwood Y does not turn any child away due to an inability to pay. Talk about our campaign dollars at work!!
Our annual campaign is supported and led by YMCA staff, committed volunteers, and Y members who see the great benefits and programs provided to so many with our financial donations. Please join me in donating to the Haselwood Y Campaign and making this year the greatest success ever!!

When Rehtaeh started private swim lessons, she was scared and resisted the water. Slowly, her instructor Fitz, gained her trust and she worked up the courage to dip her feet in the water. Within months Rehtaeh was jumping in the pool and going down the slide without hesitation.
Richard spent most of his career as a long-haul trucker. He was 32 years old, 405 pounds, and denied a bypass surgery because of his size. With a goal to join the military, he knew he needed to make a change, so he joined the Y.
Brenda enjoyed being a Y member and loved that Zumba gave her an outlet to dance. But it wasn’t until the Haselwood Family YMCA debuted its special needs adaptive fitness program that the Y really began to feel like home.
