YMCA Spiritual and Emotional Support groups offer hope and provide a place for genuine relationships. Our groups, workshops, and seminars are based on research and rooted in Christian principles. Find help in navigating some of the most challenging and joyful aspects of life.

Do you need prayer, have questions, or just need someone to talk to? No matter your spiritual background, our trained volunteer chaplains are here to connect with you. Ask for the chaplain at your local YMCA or schedule an appointment online.

If you have a need in your life or need some encouragement, stop by our Spiritual and Emotional Support areas where we have opportunities for prayer. On your way into or out of the building, be sure to grab a Spiritual Vitamin for a daily dose of inspiration and encouragement.

Visit a Chapel

Take a break from your workout or from the busyness of the day. Our chapels are available for fellowship, meditation, and prayer. We invite you to visit the chapel for reflection on and growth of your spiritual health. Journey to Healthy Living Registration Required



If you are struggling with your relationship to food and your body, Journey to Healthy Living provides support to help you achieve peace with your body and lifestyle. This eight-week class meets twice a week and includes moderate physical activity, book discussion, journaling, and food education within a supportive environment. This group presents a new way of thinking about the way food and body image interact with your mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
