The Journey to Freedom experience can help you begin your life again with a sense of freedom and purpose, providing support, confidentiality, accountability, fulfillment, and relief.
Journey to Freedom participants attend an 8 to 12 week small group to prepare them to take first steps toward important changes in their life. A maximum of 10 participants per group will journey together through a workbook developed by Executive Director and Founder of Restore Ministries, Scott Reall. All participants are experiencing the need for change in some of the following broken areas of their lives:
Journey to Freedom is offered through the Mission Department of the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties in partnership with the community. The program is Christ-centered - providing hope and healing needed by most of us to overcome life's challenges. One does not need to be a follower of Christ to attend. People of diverse faiths or no faith report they have been comfortable and helped by this experience. Journey to Freedom offers an inspiring hope-filled vision for those who want to improve spirit, mind and body.
Depending on the selected program below:
$25.00 - $35.00 for a YMCA member
$40.00 - $48.00 for a non-member
To apply your Financial Assistance discount towards the program fees, please speak with someone at your local YMCA membership desk.
All Journey to Freedom groups are guided by trained facilitators who will offer support in learning:

Release the intense burden of being controlled by food and physical appearance. Face a variety of life controlling food issues including: weight loss, eating disorders, food addictions, or body image issues. Many of us have great intentions of exercising regularly but often find ourselves quickly falling out of the routine. Healthy Living is designed to help identify the barriers keeping us from exercising and teach us how to exercise that supports health in spirit, mind and body. This group meets for 8 weeks (unless noted), two hours each session, combining group discussion with a physical workout.
• Gain a new perspective to physical fitness and emotional health.
• Become motivated to take care of yourself physically and emotionally.
• Connect with others who share in body image struggles.
• Be introduced to a variety of exercise techniques.
