Volunteers make up the heart of the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties. We rely on our volunteers to help us stay connected with our community and demonstrate the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, service and forgiveness.
Volunteers fulfill the YMCA mission in a variety of ways, from raising funds for our annual Strong Kids Campaign, to teaching youth sports and leading fitness classes.
In addition to meeting new people through a community-focused organization, volunteers at the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties qualify for priority registration for programs, as well as nursery care for children during the time of volunteerism. Other benefits of volunteering at the YMCA are immeasurable, such as learning about YMCA programs and activities, gaining new skills and abilities and inheriting a network of friends through YMCA staff and members.
