Can you go the distance?

Join Phil and the crew for our second annual Tour de Morgan Cycling Challenge. Over the course of the month, we’ll cycle 10% of the official Tour de France mileage per stage. All of our cycling classes will provide the opportunity to meet the daily mileage requirement.

Can’t make class? Chart your own progress as you go. Chase that elusive yellow jersey, awarded daily for participants demonstrating great heart, passion, and overall inspiration. The ultimate winner will be determined by the cyclist to travels the most miles.

$15 for Y members; $25 for community members.

FREE adult nutrition series! September 14, 21 and 28 from 4-5pm in the Morgan Family YMCA Board Room. Topics include learning about foods and their jobs in the body, understand nutrition labels and where to get the best foods at the best prices, and debunking common nutrition myths. Space is limited, so sign up at membership. Attend one session, or attend all three!

FLOATING BEYOND FEAR

This innovative class for adults combines group discussions and pool time designed to address fear of the water. We’ll discuss how your body naturally
interacts with water, tools for remaining calm, and floating skills. You’ll be in a supportive environment with others who share and understand your fear.
This class is included in the cost of your YMCA membership.

MORGAN Family Y Policies

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
The Morgan YMCA makes every effort possible to keep the Y and its programs running during periods of inclement weather. Operating decisions are based on weather alerts, road and school closings and the ability of the YMCA staff & members to get to and from the Y and operate the facility safely.

For All Classes (Youth & Adult) Cancellation Policy:
If the Tacoma School District has a delayed start due to inclement weather, we will cancel all morning classes. If Tacoma school district cancels school due to inclement weather, all classes will be cancelled for the day. If Tacoma school district cancels all afternoon and evening activities, all evening classes will be cancelled. A decision will be made at opening for Saturday and Sunday classes.
