Lifeguard Certification

This comprehensive course is designed to give participants the basic skills and knowledge needed to be a lifeguard in pool, lake, river, surf and water park environments.

Pre-Requisites include: current First Aid, CPRO, AED and 02 Administration certifications. Complete medical clearance, Age 16, and pass swim test

Participants are offered up-to-date information on how to guard, anticipate and prevent problems, and take action to help those in danger. The course also covers safety skills, accident prevention, emergency systems, rescue skills, first aid, spinal injury management, weather dangers, legal responsibilities, pool management, and information on how to get a job.

June Class Registration

June class runs June 6- June 11 at the Tacoma Center YMCA.

Monday 3:30-5:30pm

Tuesday-Friday 3:30-9pm

Saturday 10-1:30pm
