Nurturing Young Children Daily
At the Y, we believe the values and skills learned early in life are vital building blocks for future success. That’s why our Child Care and Child Watch programs are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical, and social development of children.
At the Y, babies develop trust and security, preschoolers experience early literacy and learn about their world, and school-age kids make friends, learn new skills, and do homework.
Most importantly, children learn how to be their best selves. That makes for confident kids today, and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.
Youth
The YMCA proveds before and after school care for children in kindergarten through sixth grades at several local elementary schools.
Preschool
The YMCA's Columbia House Preschool on the Mel Korum Y site serves children between 3-5 years.
Child Watch Nursery
Members and guests of the YMCA may use our onsite nursery while working out for children ages 6 weeks-6 years.
