Active for Life

Morning basketball games, triathlon training sessions, afternoon jogs: at the Y, sports and recreational activities are something special. They are organized programs, casual gatherings, or just long-standing habits. Friendly competition (even with yourself), lots of variety, and a supportive environment means group sports and recreation is fun – and it makes for a healthier lifestyle.

Cycling, hiking, running, wall climbing, racquetball, swimming, and many more activities are available. Contact your Y branch to learn about programs, or ask for an introduction to that group that always heads out for a walk each morning.

Participation in YMCA programs offers adults opportunities to build positive health habits, lasting friendships,community involvement, a sense of well-being, increased self-confidence and improved mental abilities.

YMCA programs and services cut across diverse populations with diverse needs and consider the total health of each person. The YMCA provides a variety of health and wellness programs including land and water fitness classes for individuals and families of all ages, health and wellness seminars, educational classes, personalized training programs, non-competitive youth and adult sports leagues and social opportunities for seniors and families.

ActivTrax

ActivTrax is a tool that creates customized workouts around your goals, strength, and fitness experience. Each time you visit our ActiTrax center, located upstairs, you will receive a new customized workout that tells you exactly what you need to do to get in shape.
