MARTIAL ARTS AND YMCA
Martial Art have a long history at the YMCA. All of our instructors are volunteers who give of their own time. For class enrollment you must meet with the head instructor for class specific guidelines and approval for attending class. Martial Art classes are included in your membership, however they are extra costs for uniforms, competition and progression of belt levels which are purchased through your martial arts instructor.
Judo
A Japanese martial art and Olympic sport emphasizing throwing and grapping techniques. Students learn to overcome stronger opponents through efficient use of balance, leverage and movement. This class is great for families as well as the serious competitor. Sensei Jason Huri is our head Judo instructor who holds a 3rd degree black belt from Kodokan Japan and is in charge of the program. Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Youth Gym from 7-9:30pm.

CLASS TIMES
Ages 6 to 12: 7- 8pm
Ages 13 to Adult: 8-9:30pm

Tae Kwon Do
A Korean art using hands and feet as a means of practical self defense is recognized as the national sport of Korea as well as an Olympic sport. Mathew Austin is our head Tae Kwon Do instructor who holds a black belt and is in charge of the program. Classes are held Monday evenings in Room 2 and Wednesday evenings in Room 1 from 5:30 to 8:30pm.
CLASS TIMES
Ages 5 to 7: 5:30- 6:30pm
Ages 8 to 12: 6:30-7:30pm
Ages 13 to Adult: 7:30-8:30pm
