Water Educators Training Safe Effective Aquatics Leaders
The WET SEALS program provides youth ages 11-15 a well-rounded curriculum of aquatics activities and experiences including Junior Lifeguarding and Assistant Swim Lesson Instructor.
Topics covered include:
Lifeguarding, Basic First Aid and CPR, Swimming Fitness, Water Sports, and Water Safety
Requirements:
- 11-15 years old
- Able to swim at fish level or above, or complete a 100 yard swim without stopping
- Know the four main strokes: freestyle, breast stroke, back stroke, and butterfly
- Model the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Responsibility, Respect
