Getting Started Class Schedule
Active Older Adult: Fit For Fun
This class emphasizes cardio fitness, balance, flexibility, strength and fall prevention.
Adaptive Yoga
Adaptive Yoga uses the principles of yoga to create movements for those with limited mobility-due to injury or illness- which increases strength and flexibility, while also contributing to a calm mind and spirit. This class is appropriate for all levels of physical ability.
Basic Step
This class will introduce you to the STEP with 30 minutes of cardio. Learn the terminology and how to move around on the STEP. Recommended for anyone who has the desire, but not sure how to get started, as well those who have the knowledge base.
BOSU® (Both Sides Utilized)
Pronounced “Bo” like the boys name and “Sue” like the girls name, BOSU class is designed around a functional training regimen that targets your core and fine tunes your muscles with balance, strength and stability exercises performed using the BOSU stability trainer.
Cardio Belly Dance 101
Cardio Belly Dance not only works your midsection, it makes for a full-body workout that shapes and tones muscles, including abdominals, upper and lower body by isolating the muscles through stretching and exercise.
Core and More
Thirty-minute focus on core-strengthening exercises for your abdominals and back to improve posture and assist with improved functioning throughout your day.
Family Circuit
Bring your family to this 45-minute circuit training class. Circuit training includes agility, strength, cardiovascular and endurance segments with a family game at the end. Ages 5 and up.
Group Cycle 101
A high-energy form of cardio-muscular training using a stationary bike. Regardless of how fit, flexible or coordinated you are, you’ll get a great workout. The interval classes are led by a qualified instructor who talks you through 30-90 minute interval routines to build endurance and strength while riding a stationary bike. No Boredom. No wasted time. No wasted sweat. Bring a towel and water bottle!
Gentle Yoga
New to YOGA? Focus is on Relaxation, Stretching, Form, and Breathing techniques. This class will provide you with a strong YOGA foundation.
Healthy Back
The purpose of the Healthy Back class is to help those with back pain find relief and adopt behaviors that will prevent future problems. The class is open to anyone who wishes to learn how to protect the back and keep it healthy.
Hi/Lo Aerobics Class
This class will provide you with high intensity but low-impact moves minimizing strain on the joints.
Intro Ride
A class designed for the beginning rider. Learn proper bike set up and indoor cycling technique. The first 15 minutes of each class will be dedicated to bike set up with the remaining 30 minutes of instructor-led interval training.
Pilates 101
Learn the basics of Pilates. Gentle rhythmic movements focusing on breath, flexibility and core stabilization. For all levels!
PiYo™
A unique class designed to build strength and gain flexibility. A choreographed program that combines the elements of Yoga and Pilates with energy, power and rhythm. Think sculpted abdominals, increased overall core strength and greater flexibility. Appropriate for all fitness levels.
Sculpt
Tone, define, and strengthen – utilizing weights, bars and bands. For all levels!
Step Aerobics
Start with a 30-minute interval ride in the Group Cycle Room. Then head down to Room 3 to finish off with 40 minutes of Step Aerobics: A low impact, high-energy workout for all fitness levels. The class involves stepping up and down in various patterns on Reebok Benches.
Strength and Balance 101
This class is designed to maintain and increase the range of motion in joints, strengthen muscles, and condition the body for overall fitness.
Totally Torso
Thirty minutes of abdominal work, core strength and back strengthening exercise for all levels of fitness.
Yoga
You are guided skillfully and gently through postures held in accurate alignment. Learn how to develop and control your breathing through a series of flowing movements designed to strengthen and lengthen the muscles, developing a mind-body connection.
Zumba®
Latin dance based cardio workout. You’ll have so much fun with this Latin and international dance workout – it won’t even seem like exercise!
Zumba® Toning 101
Combine body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba moves into one calorie-burning, strength-training class.
