Hiring Range: $9.05-$10.05/ hour
General Function:
Teach group fitness classes in Cycling. 60 minutes in duration implementing the proper guidelines of group exercise. Each class should be designed to improve primarily cardio-respiratory conditioning, and to enhance the mission of the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Confidently lead Cycling class that uses and demonstrates current safety guidelines
• Perform fitness moves that demonstrate different intensity levels to meet the various fitness levels of participants
• Promote a friendly and courteous environment that is consistent with YMCA mission and values
• Create a caring, friendly, fun and safe environment that provides opportunities for members to connect, develop relationships, and achieve their goals through YMCA membership
Qualifications:
• 6+ months of group exercise teaching experience
• Cycling certification preferred
• Ability to demonstrate skills and effectively lead a cycling class
• Knowledge of the fitness components of a group exercise class
• CPR/ first Aid required or within 30 days
• Completion of YMCA Healthy Lifestyles & Group Exercise Foundations w/ in 90 days of employment
