Thank you to all who came out to support, compete and cheer on competitors during the 2014 Strongman Competition. Here are the final results! A big thanks to the Washington National Guard, Silverdale CrossFit, and the Bremerton and Tom Taylor YMCA!

PLEASE BE ADVISED: Our showers are currently experiencing tepid temperatures as the circulation pump that supplies the domestic water lines with hot water has failed. We are awaiting the arrival of a replacement part, which is en route from Vancouver, Wash., and should be here sometime this afternoon.

We will work diligently to repair the issue in the quickest time possible. It is our hope to have the issue resolved and hot water flowing back through the building by later this evening. We apologize for the inconvenience. We know no one enjoys a cold shower, but please bear with us as we work to restore normal water temperatures.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: The Rec Pool is closed until Monday August 18 at4:45am. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Lap Pool is open on regular schedule.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Thank you to all who came out to participate, help, and support the Strongman Competition today! Results and pictures will be posted by end of next week! Congratulations to everyone!

SAFETY MATTERS AT THE YMCA

100% ID CHECK ALWAYS IN EFFECT
In order to better protect our members, guests, and staff, all visitors *14 years of age and older are required to show a valid, government-issued ID.

This policy helps us account for all people in the facility, making the YMCA a safer place for all in attendance. Community members who intend to visit the facility on a regular basis can elect to have their picture taken and stored in our database in lieu of showing picture ID during subsequent visits, but all first-time guests MUST present ID to enter the facility.

GUEST POLICY AND WAIVER
Community members and guests wishing to visit the facility are required to sign our guest waiver before entering the facility. Additionally, all minors entering the facility must have their guest waivers signed by a parent or guardian.

*Visitors not old enough to obtain a driver's license or learner's permit may present an ASB or other accredited student council ID card for entrance.

HASELWOOD FAMILY Y POLICIES

GENERAL POLICIES AND GUIDELINES
Many of our guidelines can be found in the Haselwood YMCA Member Handbook. You will receive a hard copy of this document upon the commencement of your membership.

Information in this document include: Child Watch information; age guidelines and restrictions; membership cancellation and hold requirements; our fitness floor and equipment checkout guidelines; as well as guidelines for locker rooms and the Ron and Nadean Ross Aquatic Center.

Download a digital copy for your records.

If you have questions about the information contained in the Handbook, please Contact Us and we will reply to your message as soon as possible.

INCLEMENT WEATHER PRACTICE

The Haselwood YMCA makes every effort possible to keep the facility and its programs running during periods of inclement weather. Operating decisions are based on weather alerts, road and school closings and the ability of the YMCA staff and members to get to and from the Y, and operate the facility safely.

For All Classes (Youth Registered Swim Lessons, Land Classes, and Drop-In  |  Adult Group Exercise) Cancellation Practice:

  • If the Central Kitsap School District has a delayed start due to inclement weather:
    • We will cancel all morning classes until 12pm and the facility will be open for general use only.
    • A decision will be made by 12pm whether afternoon/evening classes will take place.
  • If Central Kitsap Schools cancels school due to inclement weather:
    • All classes will be canceled for the day, and the facility will be available for open workouts only.
  • If the school district cancels all afternoon and evening activities:
    • All evening classes will be canceled.
  • A decision will be made at opening for Saturday and Sunday classes.

DOWNLOAD A COPY OF THIS INFORMATION.

Please feel free to contact our Welcome Center at 360-698-9622 for any questions on class cancellations or modification in operating hours for inclement weather.

When closures or delays occur we will update our homepage with Alerts at the top of the page.

Visit us on Facebook for up-to-the-minute information regarding inclement weather.
