The Steam Room is now open! We are deeply apologetic for the continued delay, but we are pleased to finally reopen this amenity. Come on in for a relaxing steam.

Today is the FINAL day of our first annual Silent Auction to benefit our Annual Campaign and we put out some late-arrival items today. Stop by to take a look - there's some GREAT deals! Get your bids in quick - auction closes at 5pm.

Did you know that an estimated one in three adults in the United States is living with prediabetes and is completely unaware of this and the associated health risks? Join us in decreasing these numbers by increasing awareness on March 24. Take the Diabetes Risk Assessment at ymcapkc.org/diabetes-risk-assessment and be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card.

To learn more about the Y’s Diabetes Prevention Program, contact Susan Buell at sbuell@ymcapkc.org”

We received a pleasant surprise this morning when an installation crew arrived to hang a new steam room door. We were awaiting an updated timeline of arrival, so we were overjoyed to see the door show just up. We had been quite discouraged at the slow progression of this project, and we know you all have been, too. Thank you for your patience thus far.

We'll provide more details as they become available. As of this afternoon we have not been made aware of how long we must wait before we can officially reopen the amenity. Stay tuned!

Our Silent Auction starts tomorrow at OPEN! Don't delay in checking out our fun items; bidding closes Wednesday at 5pm. Items include a guided scuba package, Starbucks gift basket, and some amazing photography! See you here tomorrow!

WE'RE MORE THAN A GYM, WE'RE A CAUSE

With program from A to Z - like athletics to advocacy, dance classes to disease prevention, volleyball to volunteerism - we don't just strengthen individuals, we strengthen our community. Kitsap County faces economic and social challenges that create even greater need for the community work we do. Fortunately, where some see obstacles, we see opportunities for our members, volunteers, staff - and generous donors like you - to make a difference through our Annual Campaign.

Our members and friends call us their Y. We call them our greatest resource, so to ensure everyone in our community has access to balanced health, we will raise $200,000. Every donated dollar goes directly toward financial assistance and subsidized programs that impact our communities. Our Annual Campaign will raise the needed funds to help us increase our reach within the community. With your help we can allow more access to individuals and families who otherwise might not be able to find health and fitness because of financial hardship. With your help we can provide at-risk youth with one-on-one time with a caring adult through our juvenile detention center outreach.
