Group Exercise

The Haselwood Family YMCA offers a variety of fitness classes for all levels and abilities. All classes are included in your YMCA membership and available on a drop-in basis.

Ab lab (45 min.)

Focuses on strengthening and tightening abdominal and core muscles.

Boot Camp

Boot Camp style circuits. This fact paced class will includes agility, strength, and cardio segments. May go outside during dry weather.

Core NRG

Spice up your functional training with this high intensity choreographed workout using a variety of equipment.    

Cycling

Indoor cycling is the pure, no nonsense, nonstop, non-impact cardio workout. You control the resistance. The instructor can assist you in sizing your bike.

F.A.B. (30 min.)

Fabulous Abs and Buns! This express workout will focus on abs and glutes. This is a great high intensity sculpting workout.

Flow Yoga

A dynamic and stimulating class emphasizing core work, strength building and balance postures, flowing from one style of yoga to another.

Foam Rolling

Using Self-Myofascial Release (SMR), roll your own body weight on a simple piece of foam (provided) to alleviate tension in muscles. By massaging away restrictions to soft tissue, it improves muscle function, flexibility and post work-out recovery.

gentle yoga

Gentle Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of motion. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Hula

An introduction to the basics of hula and the Hawaiian culture.

Interval Edge

High intensity of cardio vascular training with rest intervals of lower intensity strength and core work. A step platform may be used.

Kickboxing (60 min.) and Kickboxing Express (45 min.)

High energy class utilizing punches, kicks, and intervals with a cardiovascular emphasis.

 

Pilates Fusion

A renewing combination of ballet style toning, pilates, ball, and yoga.

PiYo Fusion

A renewing combination of Pilates, ballet-style legwork, and yoga to strengthen, tone, and stretch.

Powe Abs

30 minutes of higher intensity work targeting the upper, lower and side abdominal muscles.

Power Yoga

Poses and positioning that utilize more strength are included in this workout. Receive the benefits of traditional Yoga as well as building your power base.

R.I.P.P.E.D

Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics Endurance, Diet! This total body, high-intensity program utilizes free weights, resistance and body weight and masterfully combines each of its components to help attain and maintain physique in ways that are fun, safe and extremely effective. Stimulating each targeted muscle group from segment to segment, and new intervals every 6-9 minutes helps shock the body, providing a total body workout next to none.

Step-N-Pump

Cardiovascular intervals using basic combinations with the step platform alternating with strength training using a variety of equipment such as handheld weights, body bars, and resistance bands/tubing.

Step

Various levels of choreographed moves using a step platform.

Tai Chi

A series of movements and postures derived from a martial arts origin to reduce stress and improve over all health.

Yoga

Exhilarating mind-body class combining stretching and strengthening movements in a quiet, calm environment.

Zumba (60 min) and Zumba Express (45 min.)

Join the Latin dance-based fitness revolution! Features exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. This cardiovascular workout will really get you moving and grooving. You’ll have so much fun it won’t even seem like an exercise class!

Zumba 101

Zumba rhythms and moves explained prior to following with music followed by microphone cueing during the songs. Targeted for those who still want the energy and exotic rhythms without the intense jumping or ultra fast beats.

Zumba-Family

Zumba with songs and moves with kids and adults in mind.

Zumba-Toning

Combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba moves to create a calorie-burning, strength training fitness class.
