Aquatics
All water fitness classes are included in your YMCA membership and are available on a drop-in basis.
adult swimming lessons
Participants learn swimming skills or water fitness at an individual pace.
Level One
For adults who are new to swimming, including those with no swim experience or have a fear of the water, this small class will focus on water safety and simple swimming skills including floating, kicking, bobbing, crawl stroke, and back stroke.
Level Two
For adults with some swim experience, this class will focus on stroke technique including breaststroke, elementary backstroke, butterfly, and sidestroke.
swim fit
Competitive, triathletes, open water and fitness swimmers can drop in and get a guided workout. See Pool Schedule for swim times.
deep water aerobics
Exercises take place in the main pool where a flotation belt is worn to create resistance for a low impact cardio and muscle toning workout.
aqua zumba
This class incorporates dance and fitness moves in the pool to create a pool party for all fitness levels.
shallow water aerobics
Exercises take place in our zero-entry instructional pool where feet remain on the bottom of the pool at all times.
water walking
Pool space is provided in the instructional pool and the lazy river for walking. This is a self paced program with no instructor.
lap swim
Pool lanes are open to all members to swim laps. Children under 15 are welcome in the lap lanes upon completion of a swim test and a discussion of lap lane rules and etiquette.
